Whether you stumbled across my website while surfing the web, heard about my work through word of mouth or if we met on a boat or even buddied up for a dive - however you came upon my website - I’m glad to be able to share my work and passion for the ocean and its wildlife with you.

I am a journalist, freelance feature writer and photographer specializing in marine subjects, conservation and underwater photography.

I grew up in the US, attending high school in Kansas City before studying at the University of Miami in Florida, where I worked as a photojournalist for the Miami Herald and a dive master for a Key Largo scuba center.

My passion for scuba diving and underwater photography brought me to Australia, where I completed post-graduate work in journalism. I now work as a feature writer for a newspaper, where I write a diving column, and I regularly contribute to scuba diving, travel and conservation magazines.

I recently won the promotional category at the 2009 World Festival of Underwater Pictures (36th Festival Mondial de L’Image Sous-Marine) for my previous website, featured at this domain name.

In designing this new website – Submerged - I have strived to showcase my images and writing in an even more aesthetically pleasing way.
I hope you enjoy it and I encourage you to contact me via email through the contact page.
